Harmonic Mitigating Transformer
Modern electrical systems are increasingly challenged by nonlinear loads such as variable frequency drives (VFDs), UPS systems, and IT or automation equipment. These devices generate harmonic distortion that can cause overheating, voltage imbalance, and efficiency losses throughout the power network. Our Harmonic Mitigating Transformers are designed to address these issues by delivering cleaner power, balanced loading, and improved energy efficiency for mission-critical and harmonic-rich environments.
Advanced Engineering Design for Superior Harmonic Performance
Through phase shifting on the secondary windings, low zero-sequence impedance is created. The low zero-sequence impedance restricts the zero-sequence harmonic currents (3rd, 9th, 15th, etc.) to circulate within the secondary windings, preventing them from entering the primary windings. H line transformers with various phase-shifting configurations can mitigate 5th, 7th, and higher-order harmonics at the common bus supplying all the transformers.
